Emergency & After-Hours Veterinary Care
When your pet needs immediate attention, we’re here to guide you to trusted 24-hour partners.
Honey Creek Animal Clinic is not a 24-hour facility, but we work closely with several excellent emergency and specialty hospitals.
If your pet requires urgent care outside our regular hours, please contact one of the following trusted centers listed below “What to Do in an Emergency.”
What to Do in an Emergency
- Stay Calm – Gather key information such as your pet’s signs, when they started, any recent medications or exposures.
- Call Ahead – Call Honey Creek during business hours or after hours call a veterinary emergency hospital. The ER team can advise you.
- Bring Medical History – If your pet is a Honey Creek patient, the ER can contact us for records, or you can acquire them from the Honey Creek Pet Portal.
- After Hours Follow-Up – Our team reviews all emergency cases the next business day to ensure continuity of care.
The University of Tennessee
Veterinary Medical Center
Patients with urgent but non-life-threatening needs should contact their primary veterinarian as soon as possible. From 8 AM to 5 PM, the Emergency and Critical Care Service is by referral only. Anyone bringing an animal to the UT Veterinary Medical Center emergency service should try to call while enroute to provide information on the animal’s condition. The service does not require a referral between 5 PM and 12 AM.
